New Year

It's 2011!!! This year is wide open and I have no idea what God has in store for me but I can't wait to find out!

A few days ago I started my sweater-a-month early because I had nothing else to work on so I started http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/in-threes-a-baby-cardigan. I was going to make one for each of my twin nieces but the first one is coming out too big so I will give it to my 9 year old. I really think I need to learn about gauge!!!

I am deep in Christmas knitting and crocheting! I love making things for people: thinking of what they might use it for, what their favorite colors are, etc...but I don't run out of time!!! I am trying to make something handmade for all of my family members! I have 2 FO's!!! and about 20 more! But I have learned some knew stitches: wrap & turn and kfbf (my favorite). I couldn't find these stitches in my knitting book so I just searched for tutorials on youtube!!! Like your own personal knitting instructor!

Purposeful

I know it is only November but I have decided for 2011 to be more purposeful in my life. I love to knit and crochet and have been doing it for about 5 years and consider myself an advanced beginner. This year I want to challenge myself and be more purposeful about knitting. I have decided to knit a sweater a month! I hope you enjoy the journey with me!
